About the Artist View the Art Kinds of ReproductionsHow to OrderBack to Home
Every piece begins with Scripture, both conceptually and literally. As I read or hear the Word preached, I begin to visualize the message. Often God will give me a vision based on actual experience or a prophetic view of things to come.

The next step is to search my archives for existing photos or art that can be used to create the composition that illustrates the message. If I don't have what I need in my files I will search for stock photos or shoot them my self. The same is true for artwork I need when a photo can't be found.

I like to use an illustrated letter for the first word of scripture, which is reminiscent of how the monks "illuminated" their work in the middle ages.

All of my compositions are one to two aspect ratio which results in a vertical format that reminds me of stained glass windows seen in European churches and cathedrals.

As I work I like to experiment with different visual effects that take the piece from the ordinary photograph to create an atmosphere of the spiritual realm. This approach brings the message to the viewer with more impact and on a level that is beyond their day to day existence. My goal is to reach beyond the mind to speak to their spirit and affect their soul. These are high expectations and can only be achieved when the work is anointed by the Holy Spirit. I pray that all my work will reach the viewer on this level.
